ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description:
Successful candidate will be managing Phase One and Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) including site remediation projects and related environmental services. Duties will include providing recommendations for soil and groundwater remediation techniques as well as submissions of Record of Site Condition (RSC) as per Ontario Regulation 153/04 (amended by 511/09). Exposure to hydrogeology and Risk Assessments is required. Ability to oversee Designated Substance Surveys is as asset.
Qualifications:
- Min. 5 to 10+ years experience in related environmental engineering and consulting
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) license in Ontario
- Background in environmental site assessment and remediation services
- MOE Qualified Person (Q.P.ESA) status for Environmental Site Assessment
- Related environmental, civil, or geology degree from an accredited university

FIELD TECHNICIAN & CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS LAB SUPERVISOR
Job Description:
- Responsible for overseeing construction materials laboratory testing (soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete)
- Completing asphalt mix design reviews and compliance testing (Marshall & Superpave methods)
- Maintaining up to date ASTM, CCIL, MTO, & OPSS technical reference standards used in testing hot
- Mix asphalt, aggregates, and soils
- Maintenance of lab equipment to ensure compliance with testing requirements and certifications
- Responsible for reporting on-site issues and concerns with field/lab test results
- Correspondence with contractors and material suppliers
- Oversee maintenance of moisture/density gauges and lab equipment including CNSC compliance
- Scheduling of field technicians personnel for on-site testing requirements
- Review and finalize site testing reports (ie. compaction and concrete related items)
Qualifications:
- Preferred graduate of Civil Engineering Technologist or Civil Engineer program
- Preferred C.E.T. designation with OACETT as a minimum or P.Eng. licence with PEO
- CCIL certifications for testing of Concrete, Asphalt, and Aggregates is required
- Must have a minimum of 8 years related work experience in geotechnical/materials testing
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for report writing
- RSO designation with CNSC is desirable
- Must have initiative and possess a high work ethic, including ability to supervise field staff

GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Job Description:
Successful candidate will be overseeing geotechnical investigations and evaluations, as well as providing recommendations and assistance for construction materials testing services. Typical projects include municipal infrastructure rehabilitation, commercial developments, bridges, residential land development, slope stability analyses, pavement evaluation and design, deep fill analysis, and more. Proposal preparation, project costing, and chemical testing knowledge is required.
Qualifications:
- Min. 5 years experience in geotechnical engineering
- Background in construction, pavements, and land development
- P.Eng. designation with PEO (Professional Engineers of Ontario)
- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University

ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST (CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING)
Job Description:
- On-site testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete materials
- Compaction testing of backfill materials and paving operations
- Some laboratory testing of construction materials for quality control
- Reinforcing steel bar verifications and placement checks
- Responsible for reporting on-site issues and concerns with test results
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a two or three year Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician program or higher
- Must have related work experience in geotechnical/materials testing
- Be equipped to perform related functions in the field as required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presentations and report writing
- Must be willing to learn, grow and work hard; be a strong team member; possess high work ethic
